I have been in the real estate business for nearly two decades. I began in the business as a site sales agent for a builder/developer selling new residential construction.  After several years of success selling new homes, I took some time off to raise my son although I did not lose touch with what was happening in the real estate world. My husband, along with most of our family work in the real estate business in some capacity, including new home construction, remodeling, mortgage and sales.

When I decided to become active in the real estate market again, I wanted to do things a little differently. Instead of new home construction/site sales, I chose general real estate for the many opportunities that I would have to learn about  the real estate market as a whole. I did not look far to choose a Real Estate Company to make the transition back into real estate. In 2006 I accepted a position at Watson Realty Corp. as an assistant for several of Watson Realty Corp’s top real estate sales professionals. Not only could I learn the general real estate business from one of the leading real estate companies, but from leading real estate sales professionals as well.

Over the past several years I have worked in one of the most confusing real estate markets there has been in a long time. With that I have become knowledgeable in all aspects of the general real estate market. With the knowledge I have gained from some of the very best this business has to offer, I bring that along with my integrity and work ethics to do the very best service for my customers and Watson Realty Corp.

The area of Jacksonville known as Arlington is roughly bounded by the St Johns river to the west and north, the Intracoastal waterway to the east, and Beach Blvd to the South. Arlington is home to the first European settlement in North America, Fort Caroline, now a State Park, founded by French Huguenots in 1562.

In 1955, a controversial bridge, known to locals as the "Bridge to Nowhere", was built across the St. Johns River heading east of Downtown Jacksonville. Yet within ten years of the completion of the Matthews Bridge, Arlington became the most populous portion of Southside, and by consoli dation, over 50% of Jacksonville residents who called the Southside "home" were denizens of Arlington.

Today, Arlington is a diverse, active community with every amenity and housing possibility. From private golf communities, single family home planned developments, to townhouses, condominiums or apartments, Arlington has it all. Neighborhood shopping, dining, and recreational choices are abundant and close at hand. Arlington also has a full range of educational opportunities, including a local junior college FCCJ, a private university Jacksonville University, and is also the home of the University of North Florida.

No matter what your intentions, work or play, shopping or dining, getting your degree, or a few rounds of golf, all this and more is at your fingertips in Arlington.

In February of 2012, there were 92 residential homes sold at an average price of $95,000.  The highest priced home selling for $825,000 and the lowest priced selling for $25,000. There are many wonderful homes in this area, but you need a local market expert to help you. Watson Realty Corp. is a locally owned company with over 40 years experience selling homes in the area. Call the Watson experts at 800-257-5143.
